RCS is aware that many people hold prejudices toward neighbors with developmental disabilities. To help combat ignorance, we regularly testify at public hearings, speak to outside groups, write letters to politicians and raise money to support our activities. We are committed to engaging the people we serve with the wider community.
Education & Training
We provide on-going training and education to our staff, as well as to others in the field. Our staff members are frequently called upon to share their expertise with others.
Thanks to the generosity of The Thomas and Agnes Carvel Foundation, we have a state-of-the-art training facility in our administrative headquarters in Mt. Kisco. We provide excellent audio-visual resources and video conferencing capability in a modern, comfortable, climate-controlled setting.
Since its opening in 2007, the training facility has been filled with our own workforce development sessions, as well as programs held by community groups, who appreciate the comfort, convenience and superior resources we have on site. To inquire about using our training facility, please Contact Us.
